Low-grade chronic inflammation has been widely recognized as a central factor in the development of metabolic disorders, particularly those associated with obesity and insulin resistance. Unlike acute inflammation, this condition is characterized by a persistent systemic inflammatory response, primarily linked to excess adipose tissue and physical inactivity. Recent evidence indicates that inflammatory mediators, such as interleukin - 6 (IL-6) and tumor necrosis factor -alpha (TNF-α), play a significant role in inducing metabolic alterations, including impaired insulin signaling and endothelial dysfunction.Publicado
